Wayside Sings
Join us every second Tuesday for Wayside Sings. We are an open and inclusive space where ALL singers are welcome — non-singers, shy singers, hairbrush divas or the simply curious. Group singing unites us, soothes us, builds confidence, and boosts feelings of wellbeing (science says so).
We can’t help but feel good when we sing! Come for the songs, stay for the afternoon tea. Fiona Maria is our fantastic facilitator and helps us build community through the joy of singing.
Held fortnightly on Tuesdays, 3pm – 4:30pm
Music Jam with Rohan
Our weekly Jam session is one of the great ways that enables our mission to spring to life, music not only heals, it unites us across divisions of class, gender, sexuality, and colour (to name but a few). Our music jam is open to everyone who wants to come along for a non-judgmental play and jam over two hours.
The group jams to many well-known Australian and internationally recognised covers from the 70’s 80’s, 90’s to current, with an array of instruments electric and acoustic guitars, electric pianos, synthesisers, and percussion instruments.
Held weekly on Wednesdays, 5pm-7pm
Knitting with Sue
Join us on Monday afternoons 2pm – 3:30pm for Knitting with Sue! Bring along your knitting, crochet or weaving project or get help to start one here. We can provide knitting needles and yarn — just bring your enthusiasm. No experience needed.
